Family Fishing Derby
Start a fun family tradition and introduce your children to fishing.
Join us during Illinois’ “no license needed” week to fish in our
well-stocked lake. Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish and
for the most fish caught in the allotted time. You will need to
provide your own fishing pole and bait. Lake Carriage Way is in the
Carriage Way Subdivision of Burr Ridge at the corner of Carriage
Way Drive and Old Mill Lane.

Grown Up Night At The Splash Pad
Feel what it’s like to be a kid again! Spend the night being carefree
and kid free! Join us to play around at the splash pad, have water
gun fights, play bags, giant pong, giant connect four, enjoy music,
and more! There will be raffles and prizes! More details to come.

Independence Day Fireworks
Join us Monday, July 3rd in Walker Park as Pleasant Dale Park District hosts our annual family event – FIREWORKS at dusk to celebrate Independence Day 2023! The Park District will offer fun family yard games, a balloon artist, a dunk tank, and bounce house. Food vendors selling
snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be at the park starting at 5:30pm. The Pleasant Dale Parks Foundation will sponsor a Gellyball inflatable shooting booth, too! Reserved parking will be available in our North and South Lots. For $20, we will reserve a spot for you in the lot of your
choice. RESERVED PARKING PASSES WILL BE AVAILABLE BEGINNING JUNE 1st. These passes sell out quickly – so don’t delay! Discounted parking is offered to veterans. With proper identification, veterans can purchase one reserved parking pass for $10. Discounted passes must be purchased prior to the event. One discounted parking pass per veteran, please. Available while supplies last. Additional parking is available at 800 Burr Ridge Parkway, Burr Ridge, IL 60527 (the old TCF Bank in the Burr Ridge Village Center). Complementary shuttle service will begin there at 6:00pm and will run throughout the night. The bus will drop off at Pleasant Dale Middle School and will return to the bank parking lot after the fireworks have ended. Our fireworks are fabulous – bring your family and your blanket and we’ll see you there!

Unplug Illinois Night In The Park
Together with The Illinois Parks and Recreation Association we
encourage people throughout Illinois to ditch their electronic
devices and “unplug” to enjoy everything that their local park,
recreation, and conservation agencies have to offer. Join us at the
Walker Park playground and pavilion for a night at the park with
family and friends. There will be crafts, bubbles, sidewalk chalk art,
corn hole, sand volleyball, 2 timed challenge course competitions
and a sweet treat for all.
